Our turn of the century S-bend straight front corset has all the curve and drama of the Gibson Girl era, when fashions emphasized large, round hips with narrow waists and low, wide bosoms.
Cut at a lower mid-bust height, these corsets nip in the waist and exaggerate the hips, creating the iconic S-bend shape. To help you achieve this silhouette without extreme tightlacing, we have patterned these corsets with an extra 2–3 in the hip when compared with our other styles. We include optional hip pads which can be tacked or pinned into the hip of the corset to fill out the side back and create the illusion of a smaller waist.
