About Tobacco Ties:

A Tobacco tie is a pinch of Tobacco placed inside a square of broadcloth, usually tied off in a special way, and ends up kind of resembling a mini Halloween ghost. Traditional fasts often require participants to make a specific number of Tobacco ties. The number of Tobacco ties varies depending on the ceremony. The number, particular colour of broadcloth, and other details generally depend upon the Elder's teachings as well as the type and purpose of the ceremony.
