For sale are a matching pair of very rare brass / steel Candy Drop Rollers. One roller features 5 different Candy / Sweet designs that are repeated around the roller, with 7 of each design. The other roller is plain discs. The brass part of each roller measures approx. 5’’ (12cm) There is a wear and tear on the rollers, as shown on the photos. These stunning rollers have been sympathetically restored back to original condition to show their detail and workmanship. This has been done through a process of fine soda blasting the entire piece, followed by a light polishing to bring back the detailing of the rollers. Any exposed steel such as the cogs and shafts have been cold blued and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion of these antique pieces. We believe machining and completely restoring these rollers would remove all the character they have. PLEASE NOTE – If you are going to have these rollers on display its recommended to occasionally oil them with linseed / rapeseed oil to maintain their appearance.
