Six Foot Polyurethane Foam Blocks - Fibre Glast

Polyisocyanurate foam has been a favorite material of pattern builders for years. With this 6 ft. x 4 ft. x 2 ft. block, you can cut, carve, sand, and sculpt nearly any shape without the hassle of gluing numerous sheets together or pouring your own block. Although this foam can be easily CNC machined, it should not be hot-wired. Professional results can be achieved by using a variety of hand tools to saw, carve, plane, and smooth out your shape. To use as a plug, build layers of reinforcement and resin directly onto foam to protect and strengthen your shape. Spray with Duratec® Surfacing Primer (#1041), and buff to a perfect shine. A perfect plug allows for a perfect mold, which eventually yields the perfect part. Density: 2 lb./ft. 3 (matches 2 lb. sheets, parts #440, #441, #442, #443)
