Hard Eye Splice for 28mm to 32mm ropes

$ 13.99

4.7 (538) In stock

Use this option to add a Hard Eye Splice to your 3-strand rope (28mm-32mm diameters). Please use the quantity box to enter the total number of Hard Eye Splices you need. A Hard Eye Splice is achieved by looping the rope around a steel or nylon thimble and then interweaving the rope strands to make a secure join. The thimble reinforces the 'eye' or loop. The thimbles and their measurements can be seen here (our thimbles are also sold loose for DIY fitting). Hard Eye Splices are usually used in industrial and marine settings, for example when another rope is running through the eye and creating friction. In domestic settings a Soft Eye Splice may be more suitable.
