Here we have a beautiful mid century enamel plate by Sascha Brastoff. Sascha Brastoff was an iconic mid century designer who was prolific throughout the 50's and 60's. He had a successful ceramics factory that operated in Los Angeles, he also produced fine enamels at this time such as this. His pieces are quite rare to find here in the UK. This has a fab floral design with raised "jewelled" details. Enamel is glass that has been fused to metal at extremely high temperatures. The colours and design would have been built up from multiple firings. This would date to somewhere around the 1960's and comes signed by the artist. This is enamelled over copper and has a fantastic look that will brighten up any interior.
