O.S.U. Blue Tomato
10 seeds per packet
The O.S.U. Blue was bred at Oregon State University using traditional breeding techniques,
The Blue color comes from anthocyanin, which also gives blueberries, and blackberries their color, and is a antioxidant, The tomatoes are blue on the outside, and red, or pink on the inside, with a slightly acidic flavor, a true treasure!! This plant is indeterminate, but compact, only reaching hights of about 3 feet, tomatoes are generally in clusters of 6 or 8.
All our seeds are NON GMO, heirloom, or open pollinated, meaning that seeds can be saved from these varieties and replanted year after year, offering the same fruit each season! By saving seeds, you allow the plant to take in all the climate data it accumulates over the years, and with each passing year, the plants should do better and better, as they are more prepared for your climate. All seeds are grown and harvested by hand without the use of harsh chemical fertilizers or pesticides on our small family farm nestled up next to the Mad River is NCW Washington state.
