You definitely won't find another of this 1943 Original Brass Name Plate Naval Souvenir of Motor Launch HMS ML 589 Class Fairmile B, as both the brass name plate and wooden plinth came from the actual boat!
The plaque is in very good condition with a few minor surface scuffs/scratches but what a piece of naval history from the iconic coastal vessels and submarine chasers of WW2!
HMS ML 589 (pennant ML 589) was one of 695 motor launches of the Fairmile B Class and built by Frank Curtis Ltd, Looe, UK. She was commissioned by the British Royal Navy in December 1943 and sold in March 1946.
