We wanted the weight in the hand… the substance, durability, and warm burnished patina that develops over time. Our metalsmiths use solid, sand-cast, unlacquered brass, with all of the subtleties and wabi-sabi imperfections inherent to the process. This faithful reproduction is a fine example of the Victorian obsession with the importance of the domestic arts.
