Fish trigger the Speedhook's spring-loaded mechanism, setting the hook with such speed and force that fish almost never escape. This is the U. S. Military Version of the Speedhook and is often included in the Cold Weather Survival Kits of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, Army Reserves and others.
