It is directly from the 1950's in a Mad Men evening out style! It is home made. At that time women were so incredibly talented at home seamstresses. It just amazes me to see their talent. This dress has no condition issues to note. It is jet black in a pencil bombshell style. The waist is complemented by a black satin sash that is belted in the back and does have a tiny snap to secure it so it doesn't "flop" down. The fabric is a lightweight loosely woven wool. It has a batwing 3/4" sleeve, boat collar with an attractive back V. There is a full length metal hidden back zipper along with a hook and eye top closure. Just an amazing dress for an evening out where you are sure to attract attention in this one of a kind dress.
