This is because sublimation can only adhere to polyester coated materials. Even if you use a polyester blend, you’re not going to get as much vibrancy in your design compared to 100% polyester. Also, you can only use white or very light-colored substrates. That means you can’t use sublimation on a black t-shirt or a dark mug because the design won’t show.
