What is the Pilates Arc?

The Pilates Arc is a modern rendition of the traditional Pilates “Spinal corrector” and is made of lightweight black foam. This arc can be placed on a mat or on the reformer to support the body in positions that would otherwise be extremely challenging for beginners. Some examples of this are that a beginner can easily use the arc to support the back while effortlessly getting into the challenging mat moves such as “The Teaser” or “Criss Cross” . This gives the beginner the chance to get into the correct position of the move and begin to strengthen the abdominal muscles necessary to hold the body in place without any supportive structures. It is empowering and fun for beginners to get to join in right away!
