I personally had a huge struggle with HPOTS after getting mono at the end of 2021. I still deal with a lot of symptoms of neuropathic POTS, but the HPOTS symptoms usually stick out more. A big part of distinguishing between neuropathic POTS and hyperadrenergic POTS is blood pressure! Hyperadrenergic POTS is associated with high blood pressure and BP raising when you stand whereas neuropathic POTS is associated with a drop in blood pressure on standing.
