A remarkable opportunity to collect the iconic first edition, first impression of Frank Herberts' masterpiece 'Dune', with the exceedingly rare first state dust-jacket.

With the the arrival of the Denis Villeneuve's blockbuster adaptation, the market for these already scarce first editions has exploded and with a second film in the works, this is an incredible investment piece with very healthy growth predicted.

The publication history has become almost as legendary as the book itself - After a whopping 23 rejections by publishers, Chilton Company, a car repair manual printing company, agreed to publish the novel in October 1965. Little did Chilton know it would go on to be regarded as the greatest Sci-Fi book ever written! Given the circumstances, it was an incredibly small print run, making this book exceedingly scarce.

First edition, first impression, first state dust-jacket. Original publishers blue cloth boards. Near-fine condition throughout. The jacket has had some very minor restoration. Laid in signature by Frank Herbert. A wonderful example.
