These unusual and gorgeous necklaces are made of tightly rolled magazine paper that have been varnished for durability and then connected into a necklace with African Kitenge/Ankara fabric. We named them Sanyu which means happy in Luganda. These are happy necklaces, reflecting a very creative and fun design. The paper beads are colorful and bold and enhanced with the fabric used to tie the beads together. Please note that the colors of the fabric strands can vary quite a bit, depending on how the strips were cut. These have no clasp as you will tie the necklace by its fabric strands.
